Roll Player Board Game Geek

Roll Player Board Game Geek

Description

In Roll Player, each player builds a character and attempts to score the most points possible by acquiring valuable skills and equipment, and by defeating dangerous creatures. The player who finishes the game with the most points wins!

To set up the game, each player chooses a character sheet, fills in the name and starting equipment, and draws four Ability cards. The game board is placed in the center of the players, and each player takes the corresponding colored die. The first player is chosen randomly, and play passes to the left.

On a turn, a player rolls all six of their dice, then chooses two to keep. The player then assigns one of the two dice to each of the following categories:
-Strength
-Agility
-Intelligence
-Charisma
-Luck
-Weapon
-Armor
-Item

The player then resolves one of the following:
-Attack: The player rolls the die for their Weapon category and compares the result to the target’s Armor category. If the Weapon result is higher, the target is wounded and takes one point of damage.
-Purchase: The player may purchase an Item, Weapon, or Armor by rolling the die for their category and spending the result in gold pieces. If the player rolls a “1”, they must first roll the die for their Luck category and consult the table to see what happens.
-Quest: The player may attempt a Quest by rolling the die for their Intelligence category and consulting the table. If the player rolls a “1”, they must first roll the die for their Charisma category and consult the table to see what happens.

The game ends when one player has either been killed or has completed three Quests. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!
